Danglefoot Polish - Mystery Grab Bag

Hello! Around two weeks ago, the lovely Hayley from Danglefoot Nail Polish offered a couple of mystery grab bags on her Instagram page. I somehow only have one other Danglefoot polish so I couldn't pass up my chance to get a few more! The three beauties in my grab bag were 'Long Hot Summer', 'Think Pink', and 'True of Heart 0.1'. Read on for more info and swatches!

All three polishes had great formulas making them smooth and easy to apply. I also really like the brushes. They're nice and wide without being too big, and I found them really easy to use. Onto the swatches!

First up is 'Long Hot Summer', a shimmery golden yellow from the School's Out Trio. This did go on sheer on the first coat. Initially I wasn't sure it would suit my skin tone but it built up nicely and I liked it more with each coat. I love how much the shimmer stands out on the nail. Below is three coats and topcoat.

I really like this one in good (bright) lighting. In darker lighting it seems to lose contrast against my skin and doesn't suit me as well. I may have to use this mainly as a spring/summer polish.

Next is 'Think Pink', a delicate dusty pink with a super fine glitter/shimmer. Again this was sheer on the first coat but built up well. I ending up using three coats (and topcoat) as I was clumsy and kept smudging it. If I was more careful I would have been able to get away with two.

I found it quite hard to get a true photograph showing the shimmer in this polish. It is much more noticeable in real life, and super pretty! This also seemed to shift from a pale pink to more of a lilac in different lighting.

Last is 'True of Heart 0.1', a beautiful holographic coppery bronzey orange. I was super late to the holographic trend and even though I've recently bought a couple, this is actually the first holographic polish that I've worn! This was also the most opaque of the three, shown below with two coats and topcoat.

This one is hands down my favourite of the three. Just look at the holo! I've also been after a darker bronzey orange like this. I love oranges but bright neon ones aren't particularly fall appropriate! I can definitely seeing this being a fall staple in my collection.

Hayley was also nice enough to include a sample of her Cedarwood and Lime cuticle oil in my parcel. I had heard so many good reviews of this so I couldn't wait to give it a try. It smells soo good! It reminds me of lemon and lime drinks, but also smells quite sherbety. It's a nice change from floral 'girly' scents.

The oil feels very moisturising and sinks in quickly without leaving a greasy residue. I actually put some on while writing this post and I keep stopping to smell my hands! I will definitely be buying a full size some point soon.

You can find Danglefoot's etsy shop here (and Instagram here). I definitely recommend heading over and checking it out. Hayley is absolutely lovely and will be happy to help you out with any queries you may have!

Hope to see you in the next post!
Becca x
