Lion King Mani

Hello! Today I'm back to share with you the mani I did to celebrate the release of the new live action version of Disney's The Lion King. I went to see it in the cinema last week, and of course I had to do my nails for the occasion! I used a lot of different polishes for these, so let's get into it. Read on to find out more!

For all of my stamping and images, I used The Lion King plate from Mundo De Unas. Here's a quick look at the full plate. There are so many good images that I found it hard to choose which ones to go with!

For my index and ring nails, I stamped the leaf image using Painted Polish 'Stamped In Greenery' over Barry M 'Pink Grapefruit'. I added the words Hakuna Matata onto my index, and made a decal of simba for my ring nail (using Barry M and Painted Polish polishes). My middle finger silhouette image was stamped using a smoosh of EDK 'Ulli' and Painted Polish 'Stamped in Starfruit'. Finally, I stamped the Rafiki image over a gradient of Sally Hansen 'Very Cherry', Barry M 'Tangerine' and 'Banana Split' on my pinky nail.

What do you think? This was definitely one of those manis that I didn't want to take off - I was so happy with how it turned out! I didn't want to leave out the sunset gradient that screams The Lion King, but also wanted to switch it up a bit as I've seen a lot of similar gradient manis recently. The film itself was amazing, definitely worth a watch.

You can find the Mundo De Unas Lion King plate for $3.50 on the MDU website here. I ordered direct to the UK - they did take a few weeks to arrive but thankfully I had no customs charge.

Hope to see you in the next post!
