Essie Advent Calendar 2017 - Days 15-21

Hello! Today I'm back with the third week of my Essie advent calendar, from day 15 to day 21. If you missed my previous posts, you can find the first week here, and the second week here. Read on to find out what each day gave this week, and for more info.

Day 15 was a mini bottle of 'Fiji' a light baby pink creme. I'd consider this a classic Essie, so I'm glad to finally own a bottle myself. The formula is smooth and easy to apply. As expected from such a light colour, it does start off a bit streaky. I found it built up nicely in three coats. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Day 16 was a mini bottle of 'Glow Your Own Way', a clear base packed full of bronze and ivory glitters. Like 'In the Mood Ring' from day 3, this can either be built up on it's own or worn as a topper. Again, I decided to use it over a topper. Below is one coat (with topcoat) over a gold foil.

Day 17 was a full size bottle of 'Fifth Avenue', a bright orange-toned red creme. This is much lighter and brighter than the red we recieved on day one, 'Fishnet Stockings' (swatched here). It does start off on the sheer side, but is smooth and easy to apply and builds up nicely in three coats - maybe two on shorter nails. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Day 18 was a mini bottle of 'Bobbing for Baubles', a deep grey-toned blue creme. It has a lovely, smooth to apply formula, and is a one coater even for me. I did add a second coat to see if it made any difference, but honestly I really don't think it did. Below is two coats with topcoat.

Day 19 was a mini bottle of 'S'il Vous Play', a light pinky lilac metallic foil. This does start off slightly sheer, but is smooth and easy to apply and builds up nicely. I found it had good coverage in two coats, but added a third just in case. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Day 20 was a mini bottle of apricot cuticle oil. Essie claims that this 'absorbs quickly to instantly condition, protect from dryness, and provide nourishing moisture'. Cuticle oils are an essential part of my nail care routine so I'm always happy to try new ones. This smells lovely too!

Day 21 was a full size bottle of 'Disco Doll', a clear base full of 'tinseled silver and flushed rose glitters'. This is from the same collection as 'Glow Your Own Way' and 'In the Mood Ring', and again can either be used as a topper or built up on it's own. Below is one coat (with topcoat) over 'Fiji'.

What do you think of week 3? This week has been packed full of polishes! I'm still loving every single day, although I am quite said that it's nearly finished. I should hopefully be back with the final few days soon!

Hope to see you in the next post!
