Hello! Today I have two polishes from the Cirque Colors Holiday 2017 Collection to share with you. The highlight of this six piece collection is the re-release of sought after Unicorn Pee polish 'Coronation'. I bought myself a bottle as soon as the collection launched on Rainbow Connection, and couldn't resist picking up 'Rioja' to keep it company. Read on for my full swatches and more info!
'Rioja' is a deep vampy red holographic. The formula is slightly on the thick side, but is still smooth and easy to apply. I almost managed to get it completely opaque on the first coat. You could get away with just the one, although I prefer the deeper colour achieved with a second. Below is two coats with topcoat.
'Coronation' is a deep purple jelly base packed full of that famous shifty shimmer. To let that fiery shimmer shine through, the base is quite sheer. You could layer this over a deep blue or purple base, but I found it built up nicely in three coats on it's own. Below is three coats with topcoat.
What do you think? Both are gorgeous! I'm really glad I picked up 'Rioja', as I honestly don't think I have another red holographic in the same rich, deep tone - it's beautiful! The shimmer in 'Coronation' translates so well to the nail, and I'm glad it was re-released so I could get my hands on it!
Unfortunately, both polishes are currently sold out on Rainbow Connection. 'Rioja' will be restocking, although 'Coronation' will not be - however limited amounts will be available later this month on the Cirque Colors website here.
Hope to see you in the next post!
