July MeeBox - Main Stage

Hello! I'm continuing on with my subscription box catch up now that I have caught up with all the PR I had waiting to post. Today I have a look at July's MeeBox. If you missed my posts for June's 'Wild Thing' MeeBox, you can find my unboxing and swatches here, and my nail art looks here. July's theme was 'Main Stage', inspired by festivals and Summer. Read on for a look at everything we recieved!

First up for polishes is Color Club 'Right On', a shimmery neon fuschia purple. It has a super smooth, easy to apply formula, and has great coverage in one coat. I could just about see my nail line so added a second. Although this dries down matte fairly quickly, it still self levels nicely. Below is two coats without topcoat.

Adding a glossy topcoat makes the shimmer more obvious. Below is two coats with topcoat.

Next is Floss Gloss 'Con Limon', a neon lime creme. This is smooth and easy to apply, but unfortunately does have a bit of a typical neon formula. I found it quite sheer and streaky. It did build up, although I still had minor streaks and visible nail line after three coats. This would benefit from a white base. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Next up is Models Own 'Chrome Silver', a silver chrome polish. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, though I would suggest shaking this well first as it can be streaky once it settles. I could have got away with two coats but added a third to make sure. This dried weirdly patchy on my nails for some reason, but was fine after topcoating. Below is three coats with topcoat.

To compliment our July polishes, we recieved a full size 75ml bottle of Leighton Denny Miracle Mist, a speed dry spray. I use quick dry topcoat every time I do my nails, so I'll likely pass this on. We also recieved a packet of silver caviar beads from Charlie's Nail Art. I do like using these occasionally so into my nail art box they go!

For my 'Main Stage' nail art, I couldn't resist using a mani that MeeBox reposted here as inspiration (originally by @chan_littlebitsnails). On my middle two nails, I added flicks/stripes of Color Club 'Right On' and Floss Gloss 'Con Limon' over a base of Models Own 'Chrome Silver'. I painted my index nail with 'Right On' and pinky with 'Con Limon'.

What do you think? I was very pleased to see some nice, bright shades for July's box. While it may be getting colder rather quickly, I'm still loving my Summer shades! My favourite has to be the Color Club - it's stunning! They polishes all also work together really nicely. I just loved Chan's mani and I'm happy I sat down to do something similar.

You can find out more about MeeBox and subscribing here.

Hope to see you in the next post!
