Hello! Today I have a quick swatch of Black Cat Lacquer 'Aries'. As mentioned previously, during my recent sort and destash, I have rediscovered quite a few old treasures and polishes I never got round to sharing. This is one of them, and also the only Black Cat Lacquer I own. Read on for my swatch and more info!

'Aries' is a red jelly base full of various black, red, and silver glitters, including small hexes and shards. Being a jelly, the base does start off sheer. However, it has a smooth formula and builds up surprisingly well. I still had a bit of nail line after two coats so added a third. Below is three coats with topcoat.

What do you think? I've always loved the look of this polish in the bottle everytime I've stumbled across it in my helmers, so I'm glad I finally gave it the chance on my nails. I do really like it! Unfortunately, Black Cat Lacquer don't seem to be making polishes anymore which is a shame - I guess 'Aries' will have to remain my only one!
