OPI 'Pineapples Have Peelings Too'

Hello everyone! Today I have a bit of a controversial polish to share with you - OPI's 'Pineapples Have Peelings Too'. This came out in the Spring 2015 Hawaii Collection and I have to admit, it didn't go down well. The majority of people didn't appreciate it at all but for some reason I loved the idea. I finally picked it up on holiday over Christmas and it featured in my mainstream US haul here. Read on to find out if I love or hate it now I've had it on my nails!

'Pineapples Have Peelings Too' is a frosty golden shimmer full of multi-coloured glitters in a few different sizes. I can pick out red, blue, green and silver glitters ranging from teeny tiny circles up to medium sized hexes.

The formula actually really surprised me. It was easy to apply and opaque in two coats. I expected the base to be more sheer and take some building up. It did dry slightly chunky due to the glitters, but nothing a good topcoat can't sort. Below is two coats and topcoat.

I think I love it! I would definitely consider this an ugly pretty polish. The longer it sits on my nails, the more I fall in love with the crazy colour combination. I'm so glad I managed to get my hands on this to try it out for myself.

What do you think? Am I the only one that likes this polish? You can't argue that it's not unique, and how is the name alone not amazing?!

Hope to see you in the next post!
