MoYou London - Shrek Collection

Hello lovelies! This is hands down one of the most exciting posts I've ever written. Today I have the new MoYou London Shrek Collection to show you. Anyone that knows me well knows that I absolutely love Shrek. It has always been one of my go to films for when I'm feeling ill, sad, or just want something feel good! My almost 2-year old is also obsessed and happily watches it daily. With that in mind, there was no way I could resist buying all 7 plates immediately (and maybe also panic buying all of the Shrek polish bundles - 20 stamping polishes in total!). Read on for all of my nail art and more info.

First up, I'll mention my overall thoughts on the plates and polishes themselves. MoYou London was the first brand I managed to stamp successfully with, and I've found them to be reliably easy to use ever since. I have yet to find an image on any of the plates that doesn't pick up straight away, and all the polishes stamp great too. If you want a quick look at the Shrek plates themselves, I posted a reel on Instagram here.

I also just wanted to add that I couldn't resist pairing these plates with the OPI Shrek Forever After Collection from 2010, so the Shrek themed polish names throughout this post aren't a coincidence!

To start off with, I created a super simple mani. I used Shrek plates 01 and 03, and stamping polish 'Little Pickle' to stamp over a base of Essie 'Maximillian Strasse Her'. I considered this my not-so-subtle warning to everyone about the numerous Shrek themed manis to come!

Next up, I couldn't resist a gingy themed mani. I stamped gingy and his gumdrop buttons from plate 02 using polishes 'Roasted Caramel', 'Berrylicious', 'White Knight', & 'Black Knight'. The base is a faded version of OPI 'Rumples Wiggin'.

Now for the main man himself. I stamped various Shrek images from plate 03 to create my swampy Shrek look. I used stamping polishes 'Little Pickle', 'Scandi Sun', 'Roasted Caramel', 'Black Knight', & 'White Knight'. The base green is OPI 'Who The Shrek Are You?'.

Next is probably my favourite mani so far, centered on ogres, onions, and Shrek and Donkeys friendship. I stamped over a base of OPI 'Ogre The Top Blue' using images from plates 02, 03 and 04, and polishes 'Little Pickle', 'Scandi Sun', 'Roasted Caramel', 'Cloudy Day', 'Falcon', 'Black Knight', & 'White Knight'.

Next is a mani for Fiona and her curse. I used plates 02 and 05, polishes 'Little Pickle', 'Autumn Harvest', 'Deep Abyss', 'Champagne Rust', 'Roasted Caramel', and 'Black Knight', all over a base of OPI 'Fiercely Fiona'.

Next is another one of my favourites, and a mani I couldn't resist. For my donkey waffle mani, I used plates 02 and 04, and polishes 'Cloudy Day', 'Falcon', 'Pumpkin', 'White Knight', and 'Black Knight'. The base colour is OPI 'Funky Dunkey'.

Next up is Puss in Boots' mani, using plate 07 and polishes 'Pumpkin', 'Mesa Sunrise', 'Shark Attack', and 'Black Knight'. The base is OPI 'What's With The Cattitude?'.

Next up is a mani for Dragon. I stamped over a base of ORLY 'Kaleidoscope Eyes' using Shrek plate 06, and polishes 'Berrylicious', 'Amortentia', 'Shark Attack', 'Snake Bite', and 'Black Knight'.

Finally, for my last mani I went for a skittle look using the layered character images on plate 02. I used 9 different MoYou stamping polishes (all mentioned in above manis), and four different shades from the OPI Shrek Collection. I did end up adding a matte topcoat to show the details a bit clearer.

What do you think? I could carry on creating glorious Shrek themed manis forever. I think it's safe to say that this has been my favourite stamping plate release ever. I also love how perfect the colours in all of the stamping polish bundles have been for the theme. I dread to think what MoYou release next, as their latest releases have me hooked. I've also just purchased their holographic stamping plate holder and it's nearly full already!

You can find all 7 of the new Shrek themed plates on the MoYou London website here, along with all of the stamping polish bundles.

Hope to see you in the next post!
