ORLY - Day Trippin' Collection

Hello lovelies! Today I have the ORLY Spring 2021 Day Trippin' Collection to share with you. The Day Trippin' Collection is 70s chic inspired, and is comprised of six cremes. The full set was on sale on the ORLY UK website for just £29.99 - a deal I just couldn't ignore! Read on for my swatches and more info!

Before I get into the swatches, I'll address the formulas. As these are all cremes, the formula is consistent across the collection. They are all super smooth and easy to apply, helped by the wide brush ORLY currently uses. The number of coats I used for each varies a bit, so I'll mention that for each polish below.

'Can You Dig It?' is described as a 'terracotta creme'. This is a complete one coater. I probably should have added either a basecoat or a second coat to smooth out the ridges in my nails, but I was still good to go! Below is one coat with topcoat.

'Kitsch You Later' is described as a 'warm orange creme'. This is somewhere in between a neon and a pastel neon, it's not quite highlighter neon but it is very bright! I needed a third coat on a few nails to even out some subtle streaks. I think with a careful application you could easily get away with two. Below is two/three coats with topcoat.

'Here Comes The Sun' is described as a 'saffron yellow creme'. I was fully expecting to need three coats of this due to it being a yellow, but it was perfectly fine in two. Below is two coats with topcoat.

'Happy Camper' is described as a 'pastel turquoise creme'. I'd probably call this a neon mint, but either way it's eye catching! I had a couple of subtle streaks after my second coat, so added a third to even everything out. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Let The Good Times Roll' is described as a 'teal grey creme'. This isn't quite there on the first coat, so it does need a second. Below is two coats with topcoat.

'Feeling Foxy' is described as a 'deep plum creme that is so richly pigmented that it might be mistaken for charcoal or black'. The description given for this is very accurate - in the right lighting, you can definitely see the purple tones, but it can also look black. Below is two coats with topcoat.

What do you think? I absolutely love the colour palette of this collection. They aren't your typical spring lights and pastels, but I think that makes me love them even more! I've done a few different nail art looks with them already, and plan to watermarble them all together (fingers crossed). I'm hoping the Summer collection arrives with a similar deal so I can snag those too!

You can find the full Day Trippin' Collection on the ORLY UK website here. For those of you in the US, you can find it on the ORLY US website here.

Hope to see you in the next post!
Becca x
