Duri Nail Care - First Impressions & Review

*AD - Gifted*
Hello lovelies! Today I have some nail care items from the brand Duri to share with you. I have always heard good things about the Duri basecoats during my time in the nail world, but had never actually tried them myself until now. When the brand reached out to me asking if I'd like to give them a go - I was excited to finally see what all the hype was about! They kindly sent me both Duri Rejuvacote 1 & 2 to try, along with their Herbatherapy cuticle treatment. Read on to see what I thought of each, and some before and after pictures!

Duri's Rejuvacote products are marketed as a 'nail growth system' to help go 'from dying nails to nails to die for'. They are both base and topcoats that stimulate nail growth and reduce damage such as chipping, brittleness, peeling, and splitting to increase nail strength. Rejuvacote 1 is their original, maximum strength formula, and Rejuvacote 2 is the softer version for sensitive nails. I have personally only heard them used as basecoats previously, and I think you'd likely get better results as a base applied directly to the nail.

I wouldn't say I had overly sensitive nails, so I decided to opt for Rejuvacote 1 to start with. I thankfully had no issues so didn't see the need to swap to Rejuvacote 2. Below shows one coat applied directly onto my naked nails.

As mentioned, I was also sent Duri's Herbatherapy cuticle treatment. It is infused with green thyme stem, natural oils (including olive oil and grape seed oil), and herb extracts, and is an organic remedy designed to soften and heal damaged cuticles and revitalise nails. I love when oils and treatments have actual herbs/plants inside, and I also really appreciated the hook shaped dropper as it gave me a better angle to apply the oil.

As promised, I do have a comparison of the condition of my nails both before and after using Duri products. The before picture below was taken an hour or so after a shower, and shows the effects of one too many peel off manis, excess hand washing due to Covid, and general wear and tear from looking after a one year old. I honestly didn't realise my nails were in quite as bad condition until they were naked for 24 hours and not 'hidden' under polish, woops!

Here is an after picture, taken in similar conditions and again with completely naked nails, but this time after a few weeks of using both Dura Rejuvacote 1 and the Herbatherapy treatment.

What do you think? I'm honestly quite shocked at just how much difference there is. Both my nails and the skin around them are much healthier. I have filed my nails a couple of times in between, but I have definitely had a good amount of growth too. I'd love to say I used the products daily and/or with every mani, but I didn't as I'm not that organised - and I think that shows just how good they are! I'll have to keep using both products and permanently add them into my nail routine.

You can find all the Duri products mentioned on The Nail Base's website here - both Rejuvacote 1 and 2 here, and the Herbatherapy treatment here.

Hope to see you in the next post!
Becca x
