Nail Art Catch Up (Up to May 2020)

Hi! Last week I posted a swatch catch up post, and that seemed to go down quite well. As promised, today I'm back with a similar catch up post for all of my nail art. Again, none of these looks have previously been featured here on my blog, but have all been posted on Instagram over the last few months. Read on for a closer look at each mani and more info!

Nail Art Catch Up (Up to May 2020) @acertainbeccaa

As before, I've put everything in the same order that it was posted on Instagram.

Starting us off is the first nail art I'd done since my baby announcement mani back in August last year. I felt a bit out of practice so just went with some simple stamping. I used UberChic Beauty plate 5-03 and Painted Polish 'Stamped in Living Coral' to add some flowers over Barry M Gelly 'Lavender'.

My next mani was over Barry M Gelly 'Berry Sorbet'. I used Lina Nail Art Supplies plate Feeling Shapely! 09 and a few different stamping polishes to create the look below.

Next is the mani that got me back into more complex nail art. Kirsty over at Fairytales Nails showed me this mani of hers that she'd created for the Glam Nails Challenge over on Instagram. I fell in love, and recreated her look as closely as I could. I used BBF Nails plate BBF M1, and UberChic Beauty Mermaid Life for my images, and Barry M Wildlife Gelly's 'Ocean Blue' and 'Wild Mint' as my base polishes.

This next mani was inspired by Walter. He has an amazing Captain America outfit (I posted a picture of him wearing it here), and I couldn't help but do some matching nails. I used Painted Polish 'Stamped in Saltwater' as my base, Stamped in Crimson' for the red details, and Lina Nail Art Supplies plate Feeling Shapely! 09.

Next up is a mani I created for a birthday collab. I was invited to create a flower mani for Kat of UK indie brand 'Ard as Nails. I used UberChic Beauty plate 5-02 over a base of Barry M Wildlife Gelly 'Native Purple'.

Sticking to the purple theme is a purple glitter gradient (sort of - I'm out of practice!). I sponged Models Own 'Purple Haze' glitter over Colors by Llarowe 'Everyday is Special' and ended up with the mani below.

Lastly, I have a galaxy mani. I never really perfected the sponged galaxy look, but here we are! I started with a base of Painted Polish 'Whimsical Wanderlust', sponged on 'Pretty, Pretty Prince Charming', and finished with some slightly dodgy white stars.

There we have it! What do you think? I've definitely got back into the swing of things, and have enjoyed doing more nail art. I had a big sort out of my nail area and have rediscovered lots of old plates that I can't wait to play with. I've also been taking part in two different nail art challenges this month, so those will be popping up on here once they've finished.

Hope to see you in the next post!
Becca x
