Mani and Lola - June 2018

Hello lovelies! Today I have Mani and Lola's June edit to share with you. After taking so long to post May's box (find that post here), I figured I'd try and be a bit more on the ball this month! Mani and Lola curated June's box to prepare us for Summer, with 'nail products that cater for classy and vibrant Summer looks'. So lets get into it! Read on for a look at everything we recieved and more info.

First up for polishes is Zoya 'Shelby', a soft pink creme, described as a 'cherry blossom pink'. As with most Zoyas, the formula is smooth and easy to apply. It does start off a bit sheer and streaky but builds up well. This is the perfect strawberry milkshake colour. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Next up is CND Vinylux Long Wear 'Offbeat', a pinky red creme from the Boho Spirit Collection for Summer 2018. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, helped by the flat wide brush. I overmanipulated the second coat a bit so added a quick third. Below is three coats topped with the CND Vinylux topcoat, which we also recieved. It gave a gorgeously glossy finish!

The last polish for June is ORLY 'White Tips', a white creme. I've heard a lot about ORLY's french manicure white being a one coater, and I'm pretty sure this is it! Unfortunately this definitely wasn't a one coater for me as I needed three coats, but it has a great formula and will easily thicken up over time. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Also in this months box is a full size bottle of Essie apricot cuticle oil. I have a mini of this from my Essie advent calendar, and I do like it. My only minor issue with this is that it does leave a slight orange cast to my pale skin, so I wouldn't use it before pictures.

Lastly, we have a Nail Polish Direct foot file. I honestly had no idea what this was when I first opened my box - it's massive! This isn't something I would pick up for myself, but maybe I will find a use for it.

Before I end this post, I couldn't resist doing a quick bit of nail art with all of the polishes. I started with a base of the ORLY white, and then sponged a gradient over the top. I did stamp over this too, but you'll have to wait to see that!

What do you think? This is quite a pink feeling box, but I love pinks so that's more than fine with me! I also like how the polishes in this month go together a lot better than some of the previous boxes. I love how the three gradiented together, though I was also tempted by a smoosh mani! Maybe another time!

Hope to see you in the next post!
