February MeeBox Unboxing & Swatches - Gatsby

Hello! Today I have February's MeeBox to show you. If you missed last month's 'Galentines' box, you can find my post here. This month the theme is 'Gatsby', an Art Deco theme inspired by the 1920's. I wasn't too sure what to expect but we did have a sneak preview of one of this month's brands, so I had a small idea of what was coming. Read on for my swatches and a closer look at everything inside!

The first polish this month is Color Club 'Midnight Mulberry', a muted purple creme. This has a lovely, easy to apply formula. It is a bit patchy on the first coat, but evens out completely with a second. It also dries glossy. I actually really like this colour - my boyfriend described it as 'mature'. Below is two coats without topcoat.

Next up is Little Ondine 'Copper Spark' (L025), a metallic copper microglitter in a clear base. This was easy to apply, and built up nicely on it's own without any need for sponging. It had a good opacity in two coats, but I did add a third to cover some minor bald spots. As with all Little Ondine polishes, this is completely odourless and is peel off. Below is three coats without topcoat.

Our last polish is from Maggie Anne, a new brand to me. They sell six free gel effect polish, and are made in England - yay for another UK brand! We recieved their black creme, 'Pearl'. It is smooth and easy to apply, and stays exactly where you put it. The first coat is slightly patchy, but the second covers perfectly. It dries down very glossy. Below is two coats without topcoat.

Also inlcuded this month as our nail art extras is a big bag of gold caviar beads from Sparkly Nails and a sheet of art deco vinyls from Nail-Mail.co.uk. I've already used them both and can happily say I like them.

What do you think? This box really fits together nicely for the theme. I love the three polishes together, and can think of so many nail art possibilities. Both the Color Club and Little Ondine are unique additions to my collection - which is quite hard to do! I can't think of a similar purple shade, and this is definitely my only copper glitter. I have already done a nail art look using all of this month's items, look out for my next post!

Hope to see you in the next post!
