UNT 'Ready For Takeoff' Peel-Off Base Coat

Hello! For today's post, I have a review of UNT's 'Ready For Takeoff' peel-off base coat. I've been needing to get a peel-off base coat for months and months, but never taken the plunge. Instead I've shamefully been avoiding glitter polish. 'Ready For Takeoff' seems to be one of the more popular ones available so when I saw a bottle in a destash, I had to finally try it. Read on to find out if it works for me!

Peel-off base coats are known for working their best under dense glitter polish, so that's what I tested it with. I applied a thin coat of 'Ready For Takeoff' (instead of my basecoat) under Danglefoot Nail Polish 'One In A Melon', a full coverage microglitter (swatched here).

I wore the polish as I would normally with no issues. I had it on for over 24 hours with no sign of lifting or chipping. Yet when I wanted to remove it, it was really easy! I teased at the edges of the polish with my nails until it lifted and peeled away. Most nails peeled of in two pieces, but even those that broke apart smaller took minimal effort. I managed to get completely naked just by gently lifting the base.

Here's a quick look at the size of the pieces I peeled off:

What do you think? I'm actually really impressed! I didn't expect this to work quite so well. I was worried I'd either find my nails peeling up before I wanted them to, or have trouble getting them off when I did. I can't believe I took off a full coverage microglitter without a drop of acetone or polish remover. Yay!

You can purchase 'Ready for Takeoff' direct from the UNT website for £8.78 here.

Hope to see you in the next post!
